Seven Rubies is establishing just seven Founding Member positions in each state, making it especially meaningful to have The Weightless Muse represented among its founding photographers in Texas. 

Building something new is not always so easy. But there are times when building something new seems to give momentum to realizing the vision you have in your head. This is one of those moments for me!

But to me, this isn't just about being part of a directory. It's about what The Weightless Muse was created to be! A special kind of boudoir that builds confidence and brings out one's natural beauty in a way that is unique and different from traditional boudoir experiences.

I wanted to take the vulnerability, the confidence, the beauty of boudoir and combine it with something ethereal and calming. The freedom of being underwater is where everything changes. Fabrics float. Hair moves freely. Your body becomes weightless. All movement slows down, and for a few moments, you are free from the distractions of the outside world.
Underwater boudoir has a calming effect on your mind and body. The result can be sensual, elegant, and, might I add, powerful and beautiful. Most importantly, it can be completely YOU. Some of the biggest misconceptions about an underwater boudoir session are that you need to know how to model, have to hold your breath for a long time, have to lose weight before your session, and have to wait til the summertime to do something for YOU.

You don't. The pool is heated year-round. 

You don't even need to know how to swim.

You don't need to know what to do with your hands.

And you certainly don't need to know how to look graceful underwater.

Your session is guided every step of the way. We work slowly, take frequent breaks, and create images just a few seconds at a time. The goal isn't to see how long you can stay underwater. (Together, we'll practice breath holds). The goal is to create unforgettable moments, with fun, beautiful experiences that help build confidence and self-esteem. It's not just about capturing beautiful images; it's also about the experience and the enjoyment of celebrating YOU.

From my private underwater studio in the Greater Houston area (Sugar Land), I'm able to create something very different from an ordinary or traditional boudoir session. My goal is not only for women to leave with beautiful images, but to leave having had an amazing experience and remembering how they felt while creating them.
